Thirteen bodies were recovered by a rescue team at two places in Barmer district while atleast ten villages covering hundreds of hutments were inundated on the thrid consecutive day today in Rajasthan. With today's recoveries, the death toll due to rains and flood has risen to 24 people in Barmer alone, relief secretary R K Meena, monitoring the situation at secretariat, said. A five member central team led by the Union Minister of State for N N Meena would take an aerical survey of the flood affected ten districts of Rajasthan tomorrow, the secretary said. The team would take aerial view and meetings beginning from Udaipur to Dungarpur, Banswara, Pali, Sirohi and Barmer, Meena said, adding the central team decided to take immediate tour suo moto. Eleven bodies were recovered yesterday from parts of barmer district yesterday, while 10 bodies were recovered from Bhadaka and three from Kawas villages this forenoon, Meena said. So far the rains and flood has claimed 48 lives in parts of Rajasthan which covered 10 districts since August 18 last, the secretary said. The death toll figure was being categorised district wise, and would be known soon, he said.
