The youth of today are intriguing, enigmatic and go-getter, but in a bid to become successful in life they often tend to lose the vision. Proper guidance and mentorship can bring the best in them. These thoughts were discussed and debated at the release of a book, 'A to Z of Success - A Companion for Youth' authored by Y.S. Rajan under the aegis of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Wednesday here. "I have written this book as I believe the youth is the force for tomorrow. I left my career in space as I thought I am not doing enough for the youth of the country," Rajan told IANS. "I did not write the book because I feel the youth is deteriorating. I feel today's youth is much more energetic and confident than we were. I believe in youth. I have patterned the book in such a way so that the youth finds it easy to read," Rajan stressed. Jay Panda, member of the Rajya Sabha, while releasing the book, said: "At one glance, one can realise that the book is meant for the young, as one can flip through it like surfing the Internet." "Life is not a cook book, which has a specific formula to become successful. It is to think and then do the right thing at the right time. One needs to have humility and the ability to learn from one's own mistakes," the author said. The book is published by Ocean Books and is priced at Rs.300.
