ALM’s Law.com and Law Technology News Launch Law Technology Now Podcast

By: Legal - Law News

ALM, a leading media company serving legal and business professionals, today announced the launch of Law Technology Now, a new monthly podcast that features interviews with leading industry experts, based on articles they have authored for Law Technology News magazine. The podcasts are available on ALM’s Law.com Legal Technology section, at www.lawtechnologynow.com and on the Legal Talk Network (www.legaltalknetwork.com).

The interviews, each approximately 15 minutes in length, are conducted by Monica Bay, editor in chief of the magazine. The podcasts enable members of the legal community to track the latest tech developments aimed at helping lawyers deliver improved legal services to clients.

The inaugural program, available now, features David Whelan discussing his December issue article, “RSS: Simply Powerful.” The interview covers how “really simple syndication” tools can help legal professionals easily track information they need to practice law effectively, by using RSS to monitor favorite news sources, blogs, and Web sites. Whelan, a long-time member of Law Technology News’ editorial advisory board, is manager of legal information for the Law Society of Upper Canada.

In January, Bay interviews George Rudoy, director, global practice technology and information services, for Shearman & Sterling, on international issues in e-discovery.

ALM and the Legal Talk Network partner on other projects including Robert Ambrogi and J. Craig Williams’ “Lawyer 2 Lawyer” weekly podcasts and CLE program bundles available through Law.com’s Online CLE division. The Legal Talk Network launched in May 2005 with high quality Internet radio programs, designed for an audience of lawyers and the legal community nationwide. LTN provides an online meeting place for professionals to share ideas, news and information, resources and contacts, with primary focus on Internet radio shows for a target legal audience.
