Queen of pop Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie are reportedly planning to adopt African twins, and are set to visit Malawi soon for the purpose. The celebrity pair will fly to poverty-sticken Malawi in south east Africa to meet President Bingu Wa Mutharika, and finalise legal details with adoption lawyers. An insider said that Madonna and Ritchie had initially planned to adopt just one child, but later decided to go for twins so that it does not lead to breaking up their family. "Originally Madonna and Guy planned to adopt only one child. But when they were told that might mean breaking up a family unit they immediately said they would take siblings or twins if that was the right thing to do, Contactmusic quoted the source as telling British newspaper 'The People'. The source also said that the couple are ready to adopt a child with special needs arising from being abandoned in an orphanage. "They want the children to be as young as possible but are prepared to take kids up to the age of four. And they are also willing to consider a child with special needs arising from being abandoned in an orphanage," the source said. The pair have a son together, six-year old Rocco, and Madonna has a 10-year old daughter, Lourdes, from her previous relationship.
