Pune, Feb 12: Activists of Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena, the students wing of Shiv Sena, today stormed a shop here burnt some 500 Valentine's Day cards.A group of BVS activists entered a well-known store in a shopping mall at Senapati Bapat Road and took away the V-day greeting cards and burnt them, BVS city unit President Ajay Shinde said."Celebration of Valentine's Day is alien to our culture. Therefore, we would go to any extent to protest its imposition he said, warning if this particular store or any other shop was found selling Valentine Day greeting cards, they would be responsible for the consequences," he said.A cellular company billboard, embossed with a heart symbolising love, which was mounted atop a truck also faced the wrath of the BVS activists.The police when contacted said so far they have not received any complaints about the protest by BVS activists.
