To celebrate this collaboration, PURE Cirkus teases audiences with their first public performance in Seattle of this original piece currently titled “Wonderland.” On September 9th and 10th you are invited to experience excerpts from “Wonderland” and revel in its original music with performances by Osiris Indriya, Amphetamine Virus and the PURE Cirkus Carnie Band. Part party, part theatre; these groups are here to give you a sneak peak into the possibilities for a new performance style that blends traditional forms of theatrical narrative, dance parties and cirque into a new and exciting language of “performance circus.” “PURE Cirkus takes the majestic beauty of Cirque du Soleil into the freakish realms of Jim Rose Circus and breaks the looking-glass with their bare hands,” says Yvette Soler, Chief Executive Officer of Infinite Connections. “This is the story Lewis Carroll would never dream of telling to his daughters.” PURE Cirkus’ “Wonderland” will merge elements of street performance, theatre, circus, opera, body modification and fire dancing with original tribal industrial music to tell the story of a little girl lost in a world of her own making. Their performances are hallmarked by stunning costumes, demented “klowns,” and jaw dropping acts of bravery revealing the human body in its “Purest” form.
