Football and rap music may be as apart as cheese and chalk but rapper P Diddy is keen on including footballers in his coterie of friends. Speaking on GMTV, the millionaire mogul described his "long distance relationship" with David Beckham as "unique" and revealed the pair regularly swap text messages. "I met David Beckham a long time ago when he attended one of my parties. We keep in touch often. All throughout the World Cup, we were on our pagers, going backwards and forwards," he was quoted by Hello magazine as saying. Diddy is also looking to include soccer wunderkind Wayne Rooney in his posse of pals after the footballer bid thousands of pounds at the Beckham's pre-World Cup party to spend a night out in New York with him. "Wayne is not one of my buddies yet. But after he comes to New York and spends some time with me I'm pretty sure we'll probably be cousins," he added.
