Islamabad, Dec 31 : Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP) is celebrating Eid over a long weekend on three different days - Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Eid-ul-Zuha celebrations remained mired in controversy after the local clerics failed to agree on a single day to observe the occasion.
While Afghan refugees living in and around Peshawar, the provincial capital, celebrated Eid Saturday, tribals in most parts of the province did so on Sunday.
However, some clerics pronounced Eid for Monday, directing the locals to follow that, Dawn said in a report from Peshawar.
