Falguni Pathak, Pankaj Udhas to perform at Rankala Mahotsav

Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Feb 13: Noted singers Falguni Pathak, Pankaj Udhas, Shubha Mudgal and others will be the star attractions at the Rankala Mahotsav to be held here on February 15-18.

State Rural Development Minister Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil will inaugurate the festival, which will be held at a cost of Rs 24 lakh, out of which Rs 17 lakh will come from sponsorship, Kolhapur Mayor, Sai Kharade told reporters here.

There is growing opposition to the festival from several quarters in the city which is facing acute power crisis and pollution of the Rankala lake.
