Federal Court Orders Stuntman/Director BJ Davis to Show Cause Why He Should Not Be Held in Contempt

By: Legal - Law News

Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG) would like to keep shareholders apprised on recent developments with the Federal Court legal action, BSEG vs. BJ “Bobby Joe” Davis.

On November 21, 2007, Judge A. Howard Matz of the United States District Court for the Central District of California ordered Stuntman/Director BJ Davis to appear before him once again on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 1:30 p.m., and show cause why he should not be held in Contempt of Court for his repeated violations of the Court’s August 28, 2006 Preliminary Injunction.

In that Injunction, the Court barred Davis from interfering directly or indirectly with Big Screen Entertainment Group’s efforts to distribute and promote its motion picture “Forget About It,” starring Burt Reynolds, Raquel Welch, Robert Loggia and Charles Durning.

More specifically, the Injunction prohibits Davis and his associates from asserting ownership or control of the picture or the copyright to the picture. Davis’ continual violation of that order is what led to the Order to Show Cause.

“Forget About It” is complete and scheduled for release early next year.
