With increased partronage for short films and documentaries,a five-day workshop on various aspects in this field is being organised at Udumalpet, about 70 kms from here, from August three. Organised by 'Pathiyam' Film Association of Tirupur and 'Nizhal,' of Chennai, the workshop would provide hands on training in the field of photography, camera handling, short film making, editing and advertisement film making, Bharativasan, senior director of 'Pathiyam' told reporters here today. Experts in the field would address various topics and the films made during the workshop would be screened at the venue, so that the mistakes could be corrected then and there, he said. About 150 to 170 students, including 30 women, would be attending the workshop, during which class films directed by Internationally reputed directors would be screened, he said. Two eunuchs from Tiruchy have shown keen interest in the workshop and would also be participating.
