Front Sight Alaska and Front Sight Nevada was founded by Dr. Ignatius Piazza. Front Sight was started in 1996 with a mere 10 students and the only instructor at the time was Dr. Ignatius Piazza. Prior to starting Front Sight, Dr. Ignatius Piazza was a successful chiropractor living in California with his family. Then one day, fate came knocking at his home in the form of a drive-by shooting. When he and his family emerged unscathed, Dr. Ignatius Piazza began a quest to learn as much as he could concerning the use of firearms so that he could safely and effectively keep his family safe. After many years of attending training courses and after becoming the 2nd man in history to successfully attain a Four Weapons Combat Master certification, Dr. Ignatius Piazza started Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. With the success of Front Sight came his ability to start Front Sight Alaska. Front Sight Alaska is located in the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Here, people can participate in hunting and fishing activities while learning safe firearms training practices. While Front Sight Alaska offers training opportunities for men, women and children in archery, fishing and rifle and shotgun training classes, Front Sight Alaska also offers handgun training. Front Sight Alaska currently offers two specific courses for handgun training. One is the handgun skill builder course and the other is the handgun combat master prep course. Both courses are completed over a two-day span. Both of these courses are also taught at Front Sight Nevada Front Sight Alaska’s two-day handgun skill builder course is perfect for any individual who wants to improve his handgun shooting skill. During this course, a student learns the techniques needed to reduce the time it takes him to present his handgun and fire both a single shot and several shots with expert precision. At the end of the training, anyone who is actively pursuing a graduate or distinguished graduate certification must undergo a Skills Evaluation, testing what was learned. The only prerequisite to this course is that the student must have previously completed the two-day or four-day defensive handgun course. Front Sight Alaska’s two-day handgun combat master prep course is a lot like the two-day handgun skill builder, however is for the more advanced students. This course is designed for any individual who has already achieved a distinguished graduate status in the four-day defensive handgun course. For any individual who is working towards passing the Handgun Combat Master test, Front Sight’s two-day handgun combat master prep course is the one for you. Front Sight’s two-day handgun skill builder and two-day handgun combat master prep course are both taught in the outdoors. Students do not have to worry themselves with books, papers, pencils or boring lectures in a stuffy lecture hall. All information and training is provided on a secured shooting range with experienced professionals. By holding the classes on the firing range, students are ensured to receive the absolute most out of their training experience at Front Sight Alaska. Front Sight instructors are highly skilled in the art of handguns and the tools needed to successfully teach others how to handle those handguns safely. In fact, some of the instructors just happen to be retired military and law enforcement professionals who wish to join Dr. Ignatius Piazza in his quest to teach others the importance in firearms safety and how to in fact handle and use firearms in a safe, defensive manner. Therefore, anyone taking the two-day handgun skill builder or the two-day handgun combat master prep courses can be assured the absolute best from Front Sight Alaska!
