The Haryana government Monday announced that it would set up two new labour courts in industrial cities of Faridabad and Gurgaon.
A state government spokesman said that with this the number of labour courts at these two places would go up to nine.
He said the courts were being set up to ensure early disposal of labour dispute cases in terms of the new labour policy announced last year.
A Haryana labour department spokesman said that between Jan 1, 2005 and June 30 this year, 3,065 cases of industrial disputes had been settled. Moreover, 805 other applications had been disposed of in the same period.
