In this position, Provost will be responsible for managing the operational unit, as well as for providing strategic consulting to customers regarding the design and implementation of their global late phase programs. The group will initially focus on Phase IV trials, patient registries, observational outcomes studies and safety surveillance studies. “Due to increased regulatory scrutiny, the number of Phase IV studies will continue to increase,” said Alistair Macdonald, senior vice president, Global Data Services. “David’s focused background in critical late phase areas is a perfect match for us as we continually strive to enhance the high standard of Late Phase Services that we deliver to our customers. Prior to joining INC Research, Provost was senior executive director, Post-Approval Strategic Operations for PPD. Prior to this position, he was a central figure in the launch of the company’s registries and observational studies group and served as its executive director. During his tenure, Provost also served as executive director, Clinical Communications and Informatics within the company’s peri- and post-approval operations team and director, Informatics within its health outcomes group. Prior to joining PPD, Provost was director, Software Development for Emron, Inc. a healthcare research and communications company. Provost has a bachelor's degree in psychology from The Johns Hopkins University.
