If You Want His Attention - Look Him in the Eye!

Body language is crucial to attraction. Eye contact, being a part of body language, is often overlooked though, as a substantial parcel of body language. There is a lot more to flirting and sending the right message than batting a pretty eyelash, but the idea is right!

In order to send out the right kind of communication with eye contact, it is essential to hold the person's gaze for longer than they are looking at you. In other words - it's not a stare down, but you want to be the last to look away. It's a very subtle thing, but also very potent.

Try it. The next man who you see that you find attractive, hold his gaze when he looks at you. Imagine yourself blowing a kiss with your eyes. Let him drop the eye contact first. This can be REALLY uncomfortable, even counterintuitive, for some women. But if you want to use your eyes to spark attraction, you need to do it, and do it well.

Since most women cannot hold eye contact, the man you are looking at will notice it right away. For one, it will tell him that you are not afraid, nor are you self-conscious. He will feel that immediate connection to you, and become intrigued by your intent look.

As with anything, though practice makes perfect. Go somewhere public or take a walk down the street. Practice looking every single guy you see right in the eye, until he looks the other way. Keep practicing until you get COMFORTABLE with this - and that may take a while!

Keep in mind - you are not trying to "stare him down" or overpower him. So if you are having a conversation, DO look away occasionally. Just show him that you are comfortable, he has your attention, and you are a strong and intelligent woman.

If the dialogue continues and you've made some good eye contact, try then breaking the eye contact by glancing away and possibly chatting with someone else or letting yourself be diverted by something else. Then, look back at him after a short while. This "start and stop" interplay is very exhilarating for men, and gives them time to watch you and want your attention again.

On your first date with this guy - change things up a little for him. Act like "one of the guys", a little more friendly with him and less flirty - keep him on his toes and maybe a little unsure of your attraction level to him. This will make him work harder to try to keep you around, and will also bolster the attraction between you.

This kind of "attraction foreplay" will really do a lot to keep him interested in you and keep him coming back for more. The last thing you want is for him to get bored or complacent - so keep him on his toes and guessing!
