Jessica Simpson aspires to become a perfect 'Working Girl'

If at the start of one's acting career, someone gets to play the character of an aspiring person who believes in reaching nowhere but the top, it not only boosts morale but also keeps the person motivated.

The same is likely to happen with singer-turned-actress Jessica Simpson, who is reportedly in talks to play Melanie Griffith's Oscar-nominated role in 1988 movie Working Girl.

If the deal materializes, the Dukes Of Hazzard beauty will portray Tess McGill's character, the cute-faced secretary with dreams of being the boss, and Simpson is convinced the role is just perfect for her.

"It is one of the scripts Jessica is considering," Contactmusic quoted her representative, as telling the New York Daily News.
