Jet Airways flight hit by bird; passengers safe

A Jet Airways flight from Mumbai with 90 passengers on board was hit by a bird but landed safely at the city airport this morning, airline sources said.

All the passengers of Mumbai-Indore flight (no. 9W 381) and crew were safe, Jet airways sources said.

The airline later sent a ferry aircraft to bring the passengers who were to come to Mumbai from Indore by the Boeing 737, Jet Airways sources said.

The aircraft was also brought back to Mumbai later in the evening to check the extent of damage caused due to the bird hit, the sources said.
