Jharkhand showed their class by thrashing Delhi 6-0 and booked a semi-final berth in women's hockey on the third day of the 33rd National Games here Sunday.
With as many as 13 international players in the squad, Jharkhand always had an edge over Delhi and the difference in class was clearly reflected in the Group B encounter at the Maulana Tayabullah Hockey Stadium here.
India captain Jyoti Sunita Kullu struck a brace while Anima Soreng, Binita Xess, Subhadra Pradhan and Annarita Kerketta scored one goal apiece as Jharkhand sailed into the last four.
Jharkhand displayed their class in speed and control and with deft passes made the Delhi side look like a hapless lot.
In an earlier Group B match, hosts Assam showed fighting spirit to hold Uttar Pradesh to a 3-3 draw. Orissa came back into the reckoning with a 5-2 win over Madhya Pradesh while Haryana defeated Maharashtra 1-0 in Group A encounter.
