MicroMass Expands Presence in Pharma Corridor with Opening of New Office in Morristown, N.J.

By: Industry News

MicroMass Communications, Inc., a leader in behavioral science-based relationship marketing in the healthcare industry, has opened a new office in Morristown, N.J. The new space will enhance the agency’s services to clients located in the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania biopharmaceutical “corridor,” home to one of the largest concentrations of pharmaceutical companies in the world.

“Our new office in Morristown demonstrates our firm commitment to meeting the expanding needs of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries,” said Jay Bigelow, president of MicroMass. “Consolidating our northeastern operations within one centrally located office will allow us to provide optimal connectivity with clients, attract top local talent, and allow for easier collaboration with our current clients in the area—including Merck, Novartis and Shire—as well as prospects,” he noted.

Cheryl Nigro, a veteran marketing executive with more than 20 years of agency and corporate healthcare experience, has been named general manager of the New Jersey office. She joined MicroMass in 2006 as senior vice president, new business development, and is also a member of the agency’s senior leadership team. She will retain these duties in addition to her new responsibilities.

“Cheryl possesses both the expertise and the leadership we need to expand our presence in the northeast,” said Bigelow. “She will help us build strong, collaborative account teams, provide superior client service, and extend the reach of our distinctive relationship-marketing services.”

Nigro joined MicroMass from Novartis, where she was director of consumer relationship marketing and played a key strategic role in the design of the BP Success Zone. The comprehensive support program was launched across multiple channels nationwide and served to increase compliance for the entire Novartis portfolio of hypertension drugs.

Prior to Novartis, Nigro was executive vice president of client services at DVC HealthCare, then based in Morristown, N.J. She also worked in consumer advertising at major agencies, including Foote Cone Belding and Bozell Worldwide, and is responsible for many patient-oriented healthcare programs related to smoking cessation, obesity, cardiovascular disease and arthritis.

The new MicroMass office overlooks the historic Town Green in Morristown’s thriving downtown district, the city’s business and cultural center. The office is located at 10 N. Park Place, Suite 300, Morristown, NJ, 07960, tel. (973) 984-8088.
