New Go Daddy Girl ‘Discovered’ in Daytona

By: Automotive News

Can you hear it? The roar of motorcycles revving up at Daytona’s Bike Week Celebration and the BUZZ created with a talent search for a new “Go Daddy Girl!”

“She’s hot. She’s edgy. She’s a great fit for sure,” said GoDaddy.com® CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. She is Lara Haworth, of Cleveland, Ohio and she personifies the definition of GoDaddy-esque, which is edgy, racy and a touch inappropriate.

The outspoken CEO rode his Harley-Davidson® 2,200 miles from Scottsdale to Daytona to conduct the auditions. “We had the idea that Bike Week would be a great place to hold try-outs,” Parsons explained. “The crowd here at Daytona’s legendary Broken Spoke Saloon was tremendous.”

The crowd favorite and Parsons’ winner is an executive assistant for Hawaiian Tropics. She beat out others who auditioned to become a new “Go Daddy Girl” during Parsons’ weekly satellite radio show, www.LifeOnline.com, which he hosted live from Daytona, Florida last night. To compete, the women donned the infamous Go Daddy® tank tops, posed for photos and answered questions about their own GoDaddy-esque experiences.

GoDaddy.com is the world’s undisputed leader in domain name registrations and gained notoriety for its risqué commercials. The first Go Daddy Girl, Candice Michelle, was selected by Parsons in a national talent search in 2004. He defied advisers who recommended a blonde for the job. The brunette, then a virtual unknown, received massive media attention after being featured in what has been called the most controversial and successful Super Bowl® ad in television history.

Candice, also a WWE Raw® Wrestling entertainer, has since acted in several productions and sizzled her way onto the cover of Playboy magazine.

As last night’s winner, Lara won $1500 cash and the chance to officially join Candice, IndyCar® driver Danica Patrick and motorcycle drag-racing star Valerie Thompson, as a spokeswoman for the company.

GoDaddy.com is planning to hold auditions during Bike Week celebrations later this month in Arizona and in Sturgis, South Dakota in August. To find out more about the Go Daddy Girls, visit https://www.godaddygirls.com.
