Registration information is available at www.sdma.org. “Our first two events of the year in Seattle were very well attended by top marketing professionals from the Seattle region,” said SDMA president, Cynthia Cruver. “We’re very excited about November’s email panel — we have sharp professionals discussing new trends which will benefit marketers whether they hold in-house corporate positions or work at agencies.” Email marketing changes at Internet speed, the shotgun approach hoping for a 1-2% response rate is ancient history. Today, astute email campaigns combine database marketing fundamentals with recency, frequency, monetary (RFM) scoring. Creative marketers are learning they can achieve top-line revenue growth by leveraging auto-triggered, personalized email, automating dynamic content, and broadening their CRM expertise. The panel presenting at the SDMA November 7th meeting at the Bellevue Athletic Club will feature: Marston Gould, Director of CRM and Online Marketing at Alaska Airlines; Annette Barnes, Director of Email Marketing at Expedia.com; Stacy Bennett, Online Marketing Manager at Tommy Bahama; and Cheryl Engalaer, Group Marketing Manager at Microsoft. Justin Foster with WhatCounts will be the Moderator. The SDMA has a 23-year tradition of connecting marketing professionals in the Puget Sound region, and has doubled its membership over the past two years. The SDMA is a valued resource for education and exposure to the latest marketing technology, and it provides education on traditional direct marketing practices.
