Oliver Wyman Adds Specialized Expertise in the Economics of Commercial Aviation

Oliver Wyman is pleased to announce that the partners and staff of Eclat Consulting, in Reston, Virginia, are joining Oliver Wyman's global Aviation, Aerospace & Defense (AAD) consulting practice.

The Eclat team, led by internationally recognized aviation industry expert Randy Babbitt and his former Eclat Consulting partners Bob Hazel and Tom Stalnaker, comprises eleven professionals with deep expertise in the economics of commercial aviation. These new partners significantly broaden Oliver Wyman's global aviation industry expertise by providing experienced economic support for regulatory and legislative issues, mergers and acquisitions, network optimization, route planning and pricing, air service development, airport issues, and strategic labor solutions.

Randy Babbitt has nearly 40 years of experience in the aviation industry and is internationally recognized as a leader in the field of aviation and labor relations. Prior to founding and leading Eclat Consulting, Randy served as President and CEO of the Airline Pilots Association, where he helped direct and achieve improvements in aviation safety and influence policy in other critical areas of the industry and its operation.

Bob Hazel has a broad background in aviation economics and commercial and regulatory issues, and is a recognized expert on airports. Prior to joining Eclat, Bob served as VP, Properties and Facilities, for US Airways, where he managed more than $1 billion in airport development projects. He also served as that airline's lead attorney for aircraft acquisitions.

Tom Stalnaker specializes in economic and financial analysis in support of airport, airline, and labor clients. Tom focuses on airline network and revenue analysis and route planning, hub analysis, and alliance issues. His passenger and cargo traffic forecasts have supported major infrastructure development and investment around the world.
