Jennifer Lavoie, August 1993 Playboy Centerfold and member of the Playboy Extreme Team saw the long term potential in childhood friend, Sharon Clair's invention. The combination of a garden accessory (plant hanger), and home decorating into 1 product....2 large industries when it comes to their target audience of women. Sharon came up with the idea many years ago when she was on a mission of finding a fashionable and stylish plant hanger to match the colors of her home décor. Other than outdated macramé and plastic/wire hanging baskets, there was nothing available on the market. She searched the internet, local and nationwide lawn and garden centers, and retailers to no avail. After coming up with a prototype, she obtained a Utility Patent on her idea. Jennifer owned her own successful tapestry bag business for 12 years selling to major catalogs and retailers nationwide. Knowing Jennifer had the experience with textiles, quality assurance, manufacturing etc; Sharon persistently pursued Jennifer in partnering with her. Sharon believed with her marketing/public relations experience and Jennifer's knowledge of running a successful business they would make a perfect match! Knowing that macramé has been around for decades and that trends are constantly changing, Jennifer realized that by changing the colors and patterns this would allow the product to have a long life expectancy. Recently, Jennifer and Sharon attended The National Hardware Show -- the largest lawn and garden show worldwide, and presented their product in the "new products" section. It was an instant hit!
