PoK govt. to hold "Kashmir Festival" from March 23-31

The Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (Pok) government has decided to hold nine-day-long "Kashmir Festival" from March 23 in Mirpur, where participants from different countries would participate.

The decision was taken at a meeting held last evening, presided over by PoK Prime Minister Sardar Attiq Ahmed Khan.

Mirpur DC briefed the PoK PM about the Festival and told him that this festival would not only provide recreational facilities to the masses of the territory, but would also be helpful to promote economic activities in Mirpur and other surrounding areas.

The PoK PM was informed that people belonging form the area and from various cities of Pakistan would display their stalls at the Festival.

Sardar Attiq Ahmed Khan instructed the committee to celebrate the Mirpur festival as a historic and allocate place at the different places of the city instead at one place so that the masses can amuse themselves with recreational activities.

He also directed the committee to ply special coaches to facilitate the masses while advertising campaign should be arranged in order to inform masses about the festival, reported The Nation.
