Sania Mirza will have to wait to know her fate against fourth seed Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain as the rains interrupted their singles second round match at the Forest Hill Women's Tennis Classic tournament at New York.
Sania was trailing 3-4 in the first set when the rains lashed the Center Court and the play was suspended in the prize money USD 74,800 tournament yesterday.
The showdown is slated to resume later today.
The Indian, who is clinging on to 44th rank for around a month now, defeated American wildcard Alexa Glatch 6-2 6-3 in the opening round of the event being played as the final tune-up for the US Open beginning Monday.
