A rape accused, who had escaped from custody four days ago, was arrested from Kerala by a special team, police said here today. Rajan, accused of raping a women last year, had surrendered before a magistrate here earlier this month after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him for disappearing after securing bail in February last. He gave a slip to escorting police personnel on July 25 while taking him to jail after a court appearance. Superintendent of Police Vidya D Kulkarni said a special party was formed soon after his latest escape. After receiving information that he was hiding in a village in Ernakulam district, the team rushed there and nabbed him yesterday. Rajan, working as a coolie at a eucalyptus oil extracting shed at Governorsholai near here, has married four times and has seven children, she added.
