Former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said he had no meeting with any government official in Paris while Benazir Bhutto-led PPP dispelled the impression that the party was making any secret deal with the regime in Islamabad. Sharif also termed President Pervez Musharraf's government as unconstitutional and illegal. He denied that he had held a meeting with any official in Paris. Both Sharif and Pakistan People's Party leader Mukhdoom Amin Fahim vowed that their parties along with other democratic forces would continue their struggle for restoration of democracy in the country. Fahim said he had met Bhutto and exchanged views on the situation in Pakistan but denied that the PPP leadership was in secret contacts with the government. President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Shahbaz Sharif, senior Vice president of the party Mushahid Ullah Khan, former chief minister of Sindh, Ghous Ali Shah were among those present at the press conference. The two leaders said they had discussed the present political situation in the country, killing of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, creation of a joint Opposition front, cooperation with MMA and other points of Charter of Democracy. Denying that opposition was divided, Fahim said "You could see that we are holding joint conventions. Imran Khan, MMA, ARD, and all other opposition parties are working together. Our stand is the same. We want restoration of democracy and constitution."
