SightSpeed Now Compatible with Leadtek Video Surveillance IP Cameras

SightSpeed, the leading provider of Internet video communications, is now compatible with Leadtek’s high-quality IP-based video surveillance cameras. These IP cameras, unlike the typical webcam, do not require a PC to operate.

With a Leadtek IP camera, registered SightSpeed users simply add the camera to their contact list. Users can then easily place a call to the camera and automatically see and hear what the camera sees. The same can be done from the Leadtek video phone. Users can also manipulate the camera from inside the SightSpeed application.

Leadtek offers four surveillance IP cameras, ranging from less than $100 to $400, which are equipped with motion detectors, bi-directional audio transmission by SIP signaling and built-in Web servers for remote management. More sophisticated models offer remote pan and tilt capabilities and in an upcoming version, a night mode that enable users to monitor dark areas.
