Spears and hubby poke fun at their parenting skills

Pop singer Britney Spears and Kevin Federline tried to poke fun at reports in the recent past pointing towards her negligent motherhood at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The duo made fun of criticism that they're bad parents in the pre-recorded skit when a heavily pregnant Spears asked her husband where he'd put their baby son Sean Preston.

And Federline stated, "I thought you had him." The camera then cut to what looked like baby Sean Preston speeding around in a customized sports car, reports Contactmusic.

However, according to inside reports, the couples’ comic gig failed to amuse the audiences.

After their lil’ performance on stage Spears and Federline returned to present a taped run down of the Best R+B Video nominations.
