Students of city schools here today got an opportunity to mingle with some participants at the Sunfeast Open who participated in a float that revisited the charm of old Kolkata today.
The players - Sunitha Rao, Rushmi Chakravarthi, Ankita Bhambri, USA's Abigail Spears and Elie Jennifer - travelled a kilometer through some arterial roads from the Netaji Indoor stadium to the Princep Ghat.
They stood on tableaux create by the school children on themes like 'Colonial Heritage of kolkata', 'The new face of Kolkata', Hara Banao - Environment campaign', 'Flavours of India' and 'Leading Ladies of India'.
More than 90 children participated in the tableaux, and each float had activities and characters depicting the theme.
