Former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya today said the talked about new chargesheet was a means used by his old adversary to get back at him.

''Whenever, I do something in cricket they will do such a thing to keep me out,'' he told UNI referring to the reports that Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police may file a fresh chargesheet against him on account of alleged misappropriatiopn of funds during the 1986 World Cup.

Mr Dalmiya said he did not wish to comment on a 'hypothetical' statement of a chargesheet being allegedly filed against him.

''From the media reports it is learnt that an alleged chargesheet is likely to be filed in the near future. So far I have not recieved any copy of it,'' he said.

''However, I would revert if a chargesheet is filed and a copy of it is served on me. At this stage I do not wish to comment on any such statement,'' he added Mr Dalmiya challenged the action taken by the BCCI, saying he had filed a suit in the Calcutta High Court, in which an order has been passed stating that the action taken against him was 'totally illegal'.

''In that proceeding office bearers of BCCI had filed an application supported by an affidavit containing patently incorrect statement for which I have filed an application praying before the HC to initiate proceedings for perjury against the concerned office bearers,'' he added.

The Economic Offences Wing has reportedly prepared a chargesheet holding him guilty of misappropriating BCCI funds worth Rs 2.9 crores.

He has been allegedly charged with fraud and criminal breach of trust relating to the PILCOM bank account in Kolkata.
