Three persons were washed away in flash floods, while eight others rescued by Army choppers in Jammu and Kashmir since last night, police said today. Three persons, identified as Darshan Kumar, Pritam Singh and Chotu, were crossing a small river on the way to their homes in Basohli area of Kathua district when they were swept away by flash floods late last night, police said. Local people and police launched a rescue operation, they said adding, all the three bodies have been recovered. Eight other persons, caught in flash floods in Devika river at Motirian village in Samba belt of Jammu district, were rescued by Army choppers this afternoon, police said.
