Jammu and Kashmir government has advanced Rs 3.62 crore as loan to 255 educated unemployed youth of Baramulla district for establishment of income generating units.
An official spokesman said the loans have been given under the Prime Minister's rozgar yojna.
He said under the small scale industries sector, Rs 1.27 crore have been provided to 18 beneficiaries for the same purpose.
A single window clearance committee for Baramulla district cleared four cases for which the project cost would be Rs 2.25 crore, he said.
The spokesman said 68 units have been so far registered, provisionally and formally, with the district development commissioner's office.
