Former "The View" co-host Meredith Vieira says when she joins NBC's "Today" show on Wednesday she will restrain the sharp wit that made her famous. After a recent practice run with "Today" co-host Matt Lauer, Vieira said she would likely attempt to restrain the wit she had brandished during her stint with "The View," said TMZ.com. "I want to be careful I don't go out there and just go," the popular TV personality said."That mouth -- I have to rein it in a little bit.On the other hand, they asked for personality. It was the biggest mistake they made." While Vieira has yet to be invited back as a guest host on the TV talk show she hosted from 1997 to earlier this year, the 52-year-old chalked it up to a business matter between NBC and "The View's" ABC host, the New York Post said.
