When Janet Jackson was tricked into taking cocaine

Pop singer Janet Jackson has sensationally revealed that she was once tricked into consuming cocaine, believing that it was a medication for her sore throat.

The 40-year-old singer was preparing for a concert in Japan when a deceitful doctor advised her to take class A drug, after she complained about intense pain in her vocal chords.

"He gave me some liquidy stuff and it helped me so much... It was in a vial," the Sun quoted her, as saying.

However, she said that she was left horrified after discovering the mystery behind the liquid, which was a form of cocaine and could only be legally prescribed by qualified ear, nose and throat physicians.

She further said that upon hearing the news she “broke down in tears" and was disgusted when the doctor offered her another dose of the addictive drug.

"I started crying and told him to take it - that I didn't want it," she said.
