There are not many women who could have riled Dame Elizabeth Taylor in her hay-days, but late British royal Princess Margaret happened to be one of those few. The Princess’ friend, actor Victor Spinetti, in his upcoming memoirs ‘Upfront’ revealed that the British royal managed to get Taylor extremely upset during a party by showering attention on the actress’ then hubby Richard Burton. Spinetti states in his memoirs that the Queen’s younger sister had the legendary ‘Cleopatra’ actress up in arms when she monopolised Burton, only turning to Taylor to call her ring “vulgar”. "She started monopolising Richard. The only time she included Elizabeth was when she looked at a ring she was wearing and said, 'What a huge diamond! How vulgar, but I'd love to wear it,'" Contactmusic quoted him, as stating. Spinetti also claims that Margaret enjoyed several one-night stands in London hotels in the late 1960s - a time when she was married to Lord Snowdon. However, he denies ever sleeping with the princess, for her found her power ‘intimidating’. "I'd have been too frightened. She was a very powerful woman and that can be intimidating," he states.
