    Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 14: There has been an alarming increase in road accidents in Kerala, with recent studies showing that an average of 112 mishaps are reported a day, claiming at least nine lives.The toll in road mishaps in the last 14 years stood at 35,000, which matches the population of a panchayat in the state, according to figures released at a workshop organised by the National Transportation and Rsearch Centre (NATPC) and the Alcohol and Drug Information Centre recently.
